Subscriptions & Billing

BatteryGuard Pro is available as auto-renewing monthly and yearly subscriptions through the Apple App Store. All billing is handled by Apple — we do not process payments directly.

• Manage or cancel — Apple Subscriptions Management or iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions
• Restore purchases — open BatteryGuard → Settings → Restore Purchases while signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase
• Refund requests — handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com

Frequently Asked Questions

Why doesn't the battery percentage match the iOS status bar?

BatteryGuard reads the same iOS battery APIs used by the system. Percentages may briefly differ by one point due to rounding or refresh timing. Open the app or wait for the widget to refresh for the latest reading.

Why isn't my Home Screen widget updating?

1. Make sure BatteryGuard Pro is active on your account
2. Enable Background App Refresh: iOS Settings → General → Background App Refresh → BatteryGuard
3. Allow notifications if you use battery reminders
4. Remove the widget and add it again from the widget gallery
5. Reopen the app once after installing an update

iOS limits how often third-party widgets can refresh in the background. Widgets update more frequently while charging, but cannot match real-time status bar updates when the app is fully closed.

How do I set up battery reminders?

1. Open BatteryGuard → Home or Settings → Battery reminders
2. Tap Add and choose a charge target, low battery, or full charge alert
3. Enable notifications in Settings → Allow notifications

Reminders are delivered as local notifications based on your configured battery levels.

Why don't I see battery temperature or Apple Battery Health?

Apple does not expose exact battery temperature, cycle count, capacity, or Apple Battery Health to third-party apps. BatteryGuard shows device thermal state when iOS makes it available and provides charging guidance based on your habits and public battery data.

Where is my charging history stored?

All charging sessions and care scores are stored locally on your iPhone. Nothing is uploaded to our servers. You can delete history from BatteryGuard → Settings → Delete local history.

How do I add a widget?

1. Touch and hold an empty area on the Home Screen
2. Tap Edit, then Add Widget
3. Search for BatteryGuard
4. Choose Battery Ring, Battery Status, or Battery Care

Notifications are not working

1. Open BatteryGuard → Settings → Allow notifications
2. Check iOS Settings → Notifications → BatteryGuard → Allow Notifications
3. Make sure at least one battery reminder is enabled in the app
4. Disable Focus modes that may silence alerts
